In this trip you stay in a purpose built rain forest lodge inside Sinharaja Rain Forest, an adventure camp inside Udawalawe National Park, A luxury tented camp by the border of Yala National Park and also in a nice seaside hotel in order to encounter the big four of Sri Lanka, The Leopard, Elephant, Blue Whale and the Sloth Bear.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Welcome to SriLanka, meet with our representative

    Your will be warmly received with by our representative at the Arrival Lounge of Colombo International Airport

    • Transfer to Sinharaja Rain Forest in Deniyaya - 5 hours drive approximately

    • Lunch at the hotel

    • Afternoon Rain Forest walk in Sinharaja Rain Forest to see birds and various types of primates of Sri Lanka

      • Accommodation

        Dinner and overnight stay in Sinharaja Rain Forest

      • You will be met and greeted by our representative and transfer to Sinharaja Rain Forest, one of the last remaining virgin rain forests in the world. In the afternoon rain forest walk we focus on verities of resident and endemic birds, Purple faced Langur who is endemic to Sri Lanka, Grey Faced Langur and Torque Mackaques. Sinharaja rain forest eco edge is a unique lodge made out of used cargo containers as rooms.

    • Afternoon bird watching trail in Sinharaja Rain Forest to explore waterfalls and various rain forest floras

      • Sinharaja rain forest is a heaven for birds. You would be able to see many birds such as Munias, Flower peckers, Sunbirds, Fly catchers, Mynas, Bubblers, Monarchs and other verities of resident and endemic birds. In the afternoon we explore some beautiful waterfalls inside Sinharaja Rain Forest. If you wish we could also arrange a night walk to see some nocturanal species such as Slender Loris, an endemic primate of Sri Lanka.

  • Transfer to Weligama - 3 hours drive approximately

    • Accommodation

      Dinner and overnight stay at Weligama Bay Resort

    • On this day you will be transferred to Weligama, a town very closely located to Mirissa where we take a boat trip to Indian Ocean to see Blue Whales.

  • Whale watching trip off the coast of Mirissa at 6.30 AM with a picnic breakfast to see Blue Whales

    • Back in the shore by mid day, transfer to Yala National Park - 3 hours drive approximately

    • Lunch at Yala Safari Camp

    • Do some bush walks to see some local wildlife such as Wild Buffaloes, crocodiles and birds. After the bush walk we serve you sun downers near a lake.

      • Accommodation

        Dinner and overnight stay in Yala Safari Camp

      • We are expected to come to shore by mid day after seeing the Whales. At this point we transfer you to Yala National Park, home to many Leopards, Elephants and Sloth Bears. Yala National Park now acclaimed as one of the best places to see the elusive Leopards. We stay two nights in a tented safari camp by the border of Yala National Park.

  • Full day safari in Yala National Park to see Leopards, Sloth Bears, Elephants and many verities of birds. Picnic refreshments and meals will be provided

    • Accommodation

      BBQ dinner and overnight stay in Yala Safari Camp

    • On this day we go safari from 6 AM to 6 PM with picnic meals and refreshments to see the Leopards, Elephants, Sloth Bears, Crocodiles and many verities of resident and endemic birds. On this night we do a BBQ dinner amidst a roaring camp fire at Yala Safari Camp.

  • Breakfast at the camp

  • Optional – if the sightings are not good on the previous day, we go for a morning safari in Yala on this day too.

    • Transfer to Udawalawe National Park – 2 hours drive approximately

    • Lunch at Udawalawe Safari Camp

    • Afternoon Safari in Udawalawe National Park to see large herds of Wild Asian Elephants

      • Accommodation

        BBQ dinner and overnight stay at Udawalawe Safari Camp inside the national park

      • Udawalawe Safari Camp is situated inside the national park and Udawalawe is a very good place to see large herds of Asian Elephants and we do one afternoon safari and one morning safari by staying inside the park. On this night we do a BBQ dinner amidst a roaring campfire.

  • Morning safari in Udawalawe National Park at 6 AM

    • Back to the camp and breakfast

    • Check out from the camp and transfer to Colombo – 4 hours drive approximately

      • After the morning safari you will be transferred to Colombo or any other destination you prefer such as Galle, Bentota or Negombo.
