This is the most popular itinerary in Udawalawe when in Safari Camping. Two half days and one full day Safari tours provide many chances of seeing the Elephants, Deer, Crocodiles, wild buffalos, Jackal, mongoose and many varieties of Birds.
The park covers an area of over 30,000 hectares and consists of a mixture of scrubland and teak forest and very rich in scenic landscapes.
Itinerary begins when you are picked up at Udawalawe National Park entrance by our team. The first journey to the campsite itself is a short Safari game drive but the real Safari game drive begins after your lunch at the safari camp site (Evening Safari). You will be back again at the campsite for an overnight stay after the evening safari game drive.
The next day early morning Safari game drive will provide you chances of spotting many herds of Elephants and other animals such as Crocodiles, Deer and Birds. On the same day we do an evening Safari game drive too for many Elephant sightings. If you are lucky enough you may see a Leopard or two.
Udawalawe is now becoming spot for Leopards too as we have sighted them more frequently during our safaris. Your check out time will be at 11am on the third day.
