Location

The compound of the camp itself looks almost like Yala National Park. When you climb to the rock cliff at the camp you have some breathtaking views of the area. Yala National Park's gate is just 10 minutes away.

Tents

The tents are very spacious and come with ensuite shower and toilet with running water. Adding more comfort in the scene, their tents are air conditioned and it is a huge plus as Yala area is very humid.

Food

From rice and curries, to western and eastern dishes cooked freshly by their culinary team. The guests also can join with the team if you wish to learn a trick or two of indigenous cooking secrets. Their rice and curry is the real highlight but they can serve any type of food to suite your palate. They arrange al fresco dining for dinner on a rock cliff overlooking the forest amidst roaring campfire and fire torches, a magical experience. For couples, private candlelit dinners will be arranged near to your tent. They have a nicely designed dining tent which is very air, which gives the feeling of being in a safari camp. Chilled Beer is served during any time of the day and for special occasions such as honeymoon, birth days and anniversaries bottle of wine or champagne is served complimentary.

Safaris

At Yala Safari Camp, you are provided with fully guided safaris with experienced naturalists. When going for safaris, you have the options of going to much popular Yala National Park for Leopards, Bundala National Park for bird watching and nearby Lunugamwhere National Park which is good for Leopards sightings with fewer crowds. During the full day safaris they arrange picnic meals served in an exotic location like by the beach or river. All safaris at Yala Safari Camp are private.

Bush walks and sundowners

If you opt to stay in the camp as opposed to going safaris, you still can do a bush walk near the camp with the staff to see birds, mongooses, Crocodiles or even occasionally wild Elephants by the lake where they serve sun downers.
